Thanks for the compliments on my Lutino Red Oscar, but there is another Oscar in the tank too. He is a Red Oscar.
Tell me, he got pretty scraped up during the move to this tank, what can I treat the tank with? I treated with Melafix and salt on Saturday but he still doesn't look like he is healing very good. Any ideas?

According to the melafix instructions, you need to do it for a week. Has it been a week yet? If not, continue as per instructions, and try to raise the temp a bit..80F or so and observe.

If you have a small tank that you can put him in as a hopsital tank, that would be more optimal.

Since I had alot of trouble taking him out of the 55 gallon, why in the world would I want to take him out again and try to put him in a hospital tank? Is there anything other than the melafix and salt that I can treat the tank with? I usually don't treat with meds but in this case I have to.
