my new tarpon

Sorry guys I bought the other three. Here they are in my 240. They look awesome because they school together. I have been wanting one of these for over 15years! When I first put them in the tank one of my stupid gars thought it was feeding time and took a swipe at one, knocking a couple of scales off and ripping the dorsal fin. But know they have settled down and the gar have figured out they are way to big to eat.

what size tank do they need when full grown? and do they stay in freshwater?

there freshwater and they grow huge!! from what wes showed me like 3-4 feet? but if u guys are still around in a year or so.. im selling mines around 16 inches cuz my 180 is only 18 inches wide so stick around folks by the way ulitmatejay what are ur tarpons in the tank with?

Tarpons are great. I have two that are dithers for my ATF's and they fit in bunch great. They are also not to picky when it comes to eating. They'll eat just about anything, even pellets. The shine on them is awsome as they get bigger. Mine looks like sheets of metal swimming around the tank.

Wait till they grow larger. This was mine at almost 20". One of the nicest fish I have ever kept.

Hrmmm does it grow darker when they get bigger? Only reason I bought the tarpon was cuz its so bright and shiny. If it loses its shine it loses its appeal :[ well that's my opinion
