Glad to see he got a good home. I'll miss him but I knew my time with him was limited with only a 55 to keep him in. Plus giving him away frees up some space to move other fish around. I REALLY wanted that Texas to work out with my GT in my 125 but it wasn't to be. Scooby, keep my posted as he gets bigger over the years.

Also, if you look closely he has tiny red teeth. Should be an awesome fish when he gets bigger.

I'll keep ya posted. I did notice the teeth he's got. Like i said yesterday I'd never seen a Texas this big in person. I'd only seen them in pet stores and they were usually 1-2" in size. He does seem to have something for GTs though that seems to be the fish he chases away from his territory first. He seems to pay no attention what so ever to the Jag which is easily bite size for him. I guess it's the same for with the Oscars.

I had been looking for a while myself. seems around here there's one pet store I found that has them from time to time. but they were all 1" or less and I felt that was too small to go into my tank since at the time they Oscars were about 4". When they were about that size they took and ate 2 common plecos that were about 2-3" each.

Just FYI, he came from Green Tree Pet Center in Clarsville, IN. That's where I get all my fish.

I doubt I'll have to worry much about my GT he's the wimp of the bunch. he gets picked on by my convict that is half the size of the GT. The Convict keeps wanting to "hang out" with the Texas too.
 
Wow he looks great! Very nice Texas, and the Convict looks pretty big.
