I just picked up my first tig after months and months if not a year of driving an hour just to go look and not buy. They wanted $400 for him at 4 inches. We dont get cool fish around here very much. But I talked them down quite a bit and I am excited. He has been in my tank for a week now and is absolutely pounding massivore and tilapia.

Funny story about one of my trips down to the store was I went to the back to check him out and he had another tail sticking out of his mouth... It was another tig that they were trying to sell for $400 haha. So I am okay with the price I paid because I consider it a buy one get one

Probably about 8 inches.

Also, the severum is fine. I had just recently turned the lights on and he takes about 5 minutes to wake up.

Thank you. Not sure how well they will do together but hopefully I can keep them. The slobberhead doesnt eat nearly as much so I have a feeling he wont keep up with the growth of the others.

I hear ya...I have a fish that HAS to be hand fed or he won't eat! He doesn't get as fat as the others.

1. Do watch the temperament of your Juruense. They are much more stocky compared to your Tig and your 747 cat. I once had a Juru half the size of my Tig and he was driving the Ella nuts I had to sell him away :(

2. Your 747 cat growth rate is not as fast compared to your Juru or Tig. My Tig grew from 6" to 14" within a year, feeding only on MP

nice...all of them. I especially love the juruense!

Your tigrinus has really nice striping on its right side. Saw one in the Amazon river, the head alone was about 8 inches and the rest of the body was gone. The guide said it was probably caught on a gill net and eaten by the fisherman. Was imagining if I had this size of a tigrinus in my tank it would have looked fantastic. Noticed my tigrinus likes a place to hide rather than an open tank especially if it has other tank mates.

I hear ya. Im on top of selling him. Even though I love my Jurunese. Such a cool fish. But he's getting aggressive towards my 747 now for sure.
