That is a very unique L273. It is quite fat or wide for a 2.5" . Just speculating but it might be a dwarf. Psueda's are usually slender in body shape especially when young. None the less, it's beautiful and great pick up!
Not in that family? I dont know where "dwarf" idea came from? Pseudacanthicus are not any type of small plecos. If I remember the smallest ones are still around 7 to 8 inches.

What I meant as dwarf is there might be an abnormality in the gene causing it to be more short body and wide. Of course this is not a normal thing for Pseudacanthicus but it's not a common thing in any fish species. Again I'm just speculating and just basing it on the width and the squareness of his stomach. Usually when plecos get fat from eating the stomach is more round. I also have a 2" titanicus that I acquired recently and have many other 3-4" small pseuda's L25, L24, L273, L96, L282, L114, L600, LDA105 and none of them look that wide in the stomach. Don't get me wrong, its not a bad thing, if it is a dwarf or short body than it's unique making it more rare. If you got it like that than there is a good possibility that might be the case but if it was skinny and only became like that after acquiring it than it's being well fed, maybe too well. If its from feeding, you might want to cut back.
I have a 6" Titanicus L273 on this thread to give you an idea of what to look forward to: also notice the top view body shape, when they are small its pretty much the same shape but yours is more square and wide hence my speculation, again just speculating for i'm not an expert.
Thanks for the information, your dragon fin and titanic are looking very good! Wish i can get mine up to that size, how long did it take you to grow it out that size?
