Love you Trimac virgil2090.... Looks a beast!

Year n years ago I remembered going into a fish show and saw this fish with bright red eyes and a big hump and thought "what the hell is this!" a real water monster... I then discovered it was a huge 15" Trimac and I wanted one so bad.... Later I went on to own a few before moving onto Red Devils then Lyonso etc etc... Now I'm back in the hobby after a lay-off of about 10 years and reliving my love of cichlids... I've got a great Firemouth project going and a pair of EBJDs and now in a week I've found two of my favourites and female Salvini and a Trimac... GREAT!!!

I'm kinda hoping that this little guy might be a "Pyro Trimac" but I'll still love him if hes not... Right I better get on with fattening him up and getting him BIG

Heres a few more pics a week since I got him...

very nice colors already at this small size.it will be interesting to see what he/she turns into

your lil trimac looks like a lil mix...

I'm curious...what makes you think? Remember this is a very young fish....

IMHO I think its a 100% Trimac with the potential to be a Pyro Trimac ;)

New pic from today - two weeks on... These fish don't half grow fast!!!

Thanks ExoticGREEN...

I think whats mainly confusing some people is the lack of dark blotches, however in all Trimacs none are the same and particularly the dark tear-drop markings below the eyes are sometimes not evident... Because mine doesn't have those markings showing people might be thinking my Trimac is a mix of something else. My feeling is its potentially a selectively bred Pyro Trimac like this one...
