They always look smaller in the tank for some reason. I pulled my 4-5" GT out of the tank, and he was 6-7" easily. Measurements while they're in the tank are deceptive.
Nah he has the 180 to himself ! in tank measuring is hard ! I put a measiring tape in the box while aclimating him ! So he is officially 11 and a little bit inches long lol.
He has dug himself a nice little hole to chill in (to my dismay it is behind a big peice of drift wood so I dont think I will see much of him for a few weeks till he settles in !) and I pick up his food tomorow hopefully he will eat like a champ first feeding.
Ive weighted some plants on the lace rock with large rocks so hopefully get some good plant growth in there also.
They can that's still a large fish regardless I believe they get around 16"-18"

Actually they really get to be about 26"+
Someone on here has a 28" specimen in a 600 gallon, and it makes the 600 look small.
Holy crap! That is huge! I learned something new today. Wow! Might have to look into getting one!
