Just picked up a two foot Motoro stingray was really excited when I saw her the LFS store told me it was two years old and that the Person who had it before me had it in a 125 by itself and it was big and fat nice markings.I got it home no problem in a 40 gallon tub.The next day I noticed two heater burns on the bottom of its belly,I have always kept the heater on the bottom of the tank and never had a problem with the fish getting burned, since then mounted it to wall of tank. The burns seem to be healing.some of the edges fell of but the rest of the out side rim seems to be in tact.I also found out that the LFS had a problem the day before I took it home. The landlord had painted the hallway out side his space with mold resistant sprayer and it got into his space and he lost a lot of fish,he showed me a film that was on the top of the tanks in the back of store.I noticed when I brought the fish to my tank that a layer of slime was coming of for a day or two my water quality is good but I noticed that the stingray had white bumps on it back that are now gone.He is still not eating I am a little concerned. Also in my 400 gallon tank I have a good amount of fish and I think that she is not that comfortable with all the fish action.when do you think I should start to get concerned? and do you think I should try feeding it a night when there is less action going on
