Here is my New Venezuelan Pike he is currently around 13''+. I traded an 8'' male Dovii for this pike. He is currently in an 80gallon tank, with an 8'' oscar, for filtration I have a Cascade 1200 and a emperor 400. His previous owner had him a feeders only, so I thought it would be difficult for him to accept pellets, but thats not the case. He is currently eating hikari biogold sinking pellets, freeze dried jumbo krill, worms.

That's a really nice Oscar too lmao.. still can't get my big marmorata on anything but live..your quite lucky lol

Thanks, I figured he needed a buddy so I added the Oscar and plus he was getting picked on by my other Oscar Pair. Yeah I hear it is difficult to get Pikes off live, I think your best bet is to try sinking pellets if you havent allready tried that.
So far my guy has eaten:
2x 3" convicts
2x 4" pleco
And a ****load of live feeders.
He refuses to eat market shrimp, massivore, pellets, krill and live nightcrawlers.
He has tried to eat my redhooks more then once but they are way to big to fit in his mouth so he just spits them out.
So once again lol extremely lucky for your guy to gobble anything but live..

I juss got 2 Venezuelan Pikes myself earlier today around 5" and they were $8.99 each. Lol i juss tried feeding mines 10 minutes ago and so far they have taken Frozen Bloodworms, Sinking Carnivore Pellets, and Raw Market Shrimp...they do still tend to play wiid the food before actually eating it. Are pikes hard to wean off live food tho? Btw yu have a nice 13" bro! its looking great!
