My New Venezuelan Pike 13''+

I juss got 2 Venezuelan Pikes myself earlier today around 5" and they were $8.99 each. Lol i juss tried feeding mines 10 minutes ago and so far they have taken Frozen Bloodworms, Sinking Carnivore Pellets, and Raw Market Shrimp...they do still tend to play wiid the food before actually eating it. Are pikes hard to wean off live food tho? Btw yu have a nice 13" bro! its looking great!

As far as I know its sort of a hit and miss with pikes getting them off live food, some will accept pellets right away while some are stubborn and it takes some time. I have a smaller Venezuelan about 7'' that was strictly on live feeders and I wanted him on pellets, I pretty much starved him for about 2 weeks before he would accept a single pellet. Now its been a couple months and he eats like a pig always has a fat belly.

I feed him Hikari Bio Gold Sinking Pellets the blue bag I believe.

He east quite a bit, I feed him 3x per day with a mix of pellets, silversides, fd krill, nightcrawlers.
