hey, what lighting are you using?

Normal daylight tube on the tank but its the flash on the camera that lights this pic

I have 2 synspilum myself and they have become one of my favorite fish! It has really been a joy to watch them grow and change from their juvenile brownish color to the bright colors now!

I'm really pleased I picked this fish up... it'd been languishing in that shop for a few weeks now looking unhappy and now hes in his new home colored up and mixing well... Couldn't be happier!

I thought I'd share these latest pics of my Synspilum... It's really put on quite a bit of size and bulk and I'm almost sure its a male now.... hes beat up all the other fish in the tank and they've had to be moved into a seperate tank... Hes just sharing with a few Convicts and a large male Firemouthiti....

Looks great, Synspilums are awesome looking cichlids. how big is it now?

I'd say a good 8.5 - 9" now in the body... hes really shooting away now.
