Mines in a 200G, and i agree, absolute minimum i would say is a 125g - 150g

Thanks guys, this one should have cost between $100-$150 for this size, but some guy was giving him away on craigslist, so I got him for free

Max average size is about 17". There are some Lake Turkana fahakas that don't seem to grow beyond 3-4". And, a couple of members have fahakas that passed the 20" mark.

I just checked on wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fahaka and you are correct, max size is 17-18"

This has got to be one of the coolest fish I have ever owned. And I havent owned very many....

He is the chillest fish ever. Doesnt give a crap about anything. Had to move him twice (once when I picked him up and the other when I brought him home) and he didnt flinch, flop or otherwise indicate any kind of unpleasantness while in the net. He allows me to touch him and doesnt try to get away, its like a cat or dog. I have been told to stay away from its mouth as his teeth can literally bite your finger off
