Found this awesome guy for $40.
Super excited, I've wanted this color variant for a while.
Gonna start working on introducing him/her to my girls.
Tank is currently being drained, then I'm going to install a divider for the next few weeks.
Keep your fingers crossed this works out. I'd like to keep my empty tanks open for other projects if I can.

Well, I don't think I'm going to need a divider, but I do think I'm going to have to separate one of my girls.
Did a massive water change, rearranged the tank, got the divider ready, then sat back and observed.
The newbie (dubbed Sparta) got in a few minor spats with Brutus (my big girl) and now they're inseparable.
But they're currently ganging up on Flower (my smaller girl), and have her playing dead in the corner.
Flower is officially going to be an only child in her own tank.
I'm okay with this outcome. Flower has always been sickly. I have had to baby her since day one when my friend dropped her off emaciated, lethargic, and washed out.
I will keep monitoring and the divider will stay on standby in case Brutus and Sparta decide they actually don't like each other.
But as of right now, everything has calmed down enough that everyone is eating, so overall a good sign I think.

I really like his white blaze! Excuse my ignorance, but what is HLLE?
Head and Lateral Line Erosion, also known as Hole In The Head Disease (HITH). It's pitting on the head and along the lateral line and it's very common in Oscars.
My first Oscar (before I knew what I was getting into or how to properly care for them) ended up getting it. it is mostly reversible, but scarring can occur.
