I dont think they do grow in captivity. I had a few and i didnt notice any growth in them. I had 1 for over a year and couldnt tell it grew at all.


I had a small one years ago that started at about an inch and within 3years I got it to 5 inches. Then I lost him of sudden? I think it got bloat

Mine was about 3" the entire time i had it. Random death for mine too.
