Yep, those are definitely yellow belly sliders. Could have a little bit of red ear mixed in there too, but I think they just have some nice markings. Nice turtles tho, those are some lookers! Also, I'm glad that's not their permanent home lol

lol, the only rooms in my home without aquariums are........well, does outside count as a room?

Yep, they will most likely take over the tank my Green Terror fry are growing out in......but I have this "overkill" problem so they may just get a new tank and most likely a better "floater" for them to bask on.

Just get one of of those floating turtle docks, they are cheap and come in small/med/large and turtles love em (your guys would both easily fit on a small I'm betting). They should be fine with your green terror fry if you don't get a new setup for them. You probably already know, but make sure you get the full spectrum lighting over the basking spot (incandescent bulb for heat and a full spectrum UVA/UVB bulb) to avoid shell and other health issues. A lot of people don't realize they need more than a regular light bulb.

I wouldn't put them with the green terror fry... they may eat them.

As for the floating docks, they are good for smaller turtles, but even the largest floating dock won't hold a full grown turtle. My full grown 10" female DBT sinks them, so she can't be completely dry when basking, so I have to place rocks under it.

As for lighting... you don't need 2 or 3 lamps. A mercury Vapor bulb (for reptiles) will be all the lighting you need.

2 lamps unless you pay the extra for a 2 in one.. like the power suns... I like those personally... but otherwise yes you will need 2 lamps... a heat bulb... and a UVB bulb (which also has UVA as well)

The mercury vapor bulb is what I have on my turtles.. it's uva/uvb and it's their heat source.

Which one is it? Most of them are one or the other, but there are combo bulbs... they are just always way more expensive.
however if where your keeping them is already pretty warm, it wont take much to create a basking spot

This is what I have... http://www.reptileuv.com/

Yes, they are pricey, but it's worth it.

The one thing you have to watch with keeping them in an already warm spot, is if the water is too warm it will deter them from basking.
