They get VERY nasty, agressive, challenging and nervous, if you want one be shure to do your homework and if possible contact with someone with a big one to see what is waiting for you. They are not the easiest monitor to keep, even for a big one. But yes increadbly beautifull animals and can be trained. A huge enclosure its vital.

Tegus are cool but they get so fat with age.

Just from watching footage of nile monitors they seem to have the mental capacity of an anole.

Awesome animal, how big do they get, 10 ft? Curious always loved their look when I'd see em at trade shows.

6-7 foot max
