How small did you get him?

Nah, he's good looking but far from the best looking Dovii on MFK. At least his awesome personality makes up for it. The thread title is in direct relation to advice I recently gave someone on their thread. I told him not to oversell in the title or it makes people's expectations too high when they click his thread so I figured I'd follow my own advice lol. Thanks for the props and I got him as an adult as an impulse purchase. I couldn't help myself, when I saw him it was luv at first bite....er..I mean sight.

Thanks, he does have some nice blue fins, that's what everyone says who sees him. He's in a 265g tank...7' x 2' x 2.5'. Those aren't feeders they're my fish. He only kills other Parachromis, they drive him bezerk. Check out this pic, it might surprise you. He could eat this little Grammodes in one bite if he wanted.

Really, he's flat gorgeous. And I love the way you're keeping him. More should take note of your tank. Plenty of targets, a good mix of fish, and lots of swimming room. You are seeing a very well cared for specimen behaving naturally -- not pathologically like so many do in bad situations.

He's my smiley boy alright. I only wish you guys could see what he looks like in person. The pics don't come out nearly as good as he really looks. As far as his teeth, when you're standing in front of him, you can clearly see lots of teeth covered with red tips. They don't show up in the pics.

I appreciate the insight chc. It means a lot coming from you.

As you guys may have noticed, I can't stand to have a super overcrowded tank. I know some people do and more power to them but it's just not for me. I used to think it would be more entertaining to stuff the tank full of fish but it's not. Especially when the centerpiece is a Dovii. He's like a puppy dog and certainly knows who I am....but he thinks he's in charge.
