Yes,every NGT I have had was either a troublemaker or was extremely stubborn to take pellets.Very nice man. I'm tempted to get some indos but my ngt is nasty towards other dats.
Sweet bar! Thanks bro,it took about a year.Once it started eating pellets it's growth stsrted to show.
I would say it was about three inches when I brought it home and the main pellet that I feed to my dats is Massivore pellets with a few other types...floating as well as sinking.I believe they are the best foods for growth and overall health because they are nutrionally complete as opposed and compared to feeder fish and raw shrimp.Sweet bar!
Took about a year from what size?
Pellets seems to be part of its major contributing factor for growth. But what pellets are you giving these guys krich?
My 2 new "unclean" 3 bars just started taking pellets last week at 4"-5".
I'm stoked right now!!
I have never tried mealworms or crickets on my dats.I think my stable gets a pretty varied diet as it is but I could give those a try if they are nutritionally feasible.Feeders a no-no definitely..
My pellets include Hikari Carnivore, Massivore and Cichlid Gold.
Also the occasional Frozen Ghost Shrimp and spirulina pellets.
Here hobbyist are actively trading Dats. But the thing that turn me off are majority feed them feeders as part of their diet.

What is your take on that?
