Thought I'd share this little video of this pair with their first batch of fry...

The male has amazing color and looks like a female with black ventral fin and front dorsal, and barred pattern. The only give away is a few sparkling in the body and fin, and the fry.

Hey thanks.... They've grown quite a bit more now since those pics were taken... They just get fed the usual Hikari Gold Pellets with blood worms etc... nothing special. The pH is around 7.6...

Awesome pair, But I think that male may be the most beautiful fish I have ever seen!!! Didn't look so colorful in the video but some of the pictures you have of him are just amazing!!!!!
