There is an LFS here with 9pcs over 1 footer Midas/midelvils which I found after I have already established my community. I have always thought of getting a large tank full of only these guys. They're thick, aggressive and colorful. Yours looked wonderful! They will indeed always be missed! How long are they gone? Cheers!

One year, give or take.

I moved the Red and he reacted badly to the move and went downhill with no apparent reason.

The white got a DE in his left eye and got allmost cures, returne to the tank, but then after a couple of days died.

Wow! You love them too much. It really depends on the specimen. The ones I have seen are premium and are over 14" each. They have these bright red color typical of blood parrots to them. They are show Midas just as much as Asia arowanas are. They sell for about 300 pounds each. Some of those that have lighter shades of pink to white fetches lower than 200 pounds. Only thing that stopped me is their aggression and I don't think I can handle seeing some of my fish with nips or even small damages. The common 8 inchers fetch even smaller prices at as low as 30 pounds if you know how to bargain. I'm very close to Hong Kong by the way, as in an hour close. If you happen to visit HK, I can show you the LFS in my area. You guys are very welcome here, I believe it is very easy for you to get VISA's to enter. I just don't know how you can bring them home. Better yet, you can visit Tung Choi in Hong Kong, the goldfish market and arrange a Fedex direct to your house.

I used to go a lot, professionally, to HK.

The hours i spent in that Lfs street. One of the most entertaining streets i have ever been to....

I am really into cichlids and goldfish. It is on my bucket list to visit the goldfish market. I have a question though how expensive are the goldfish compared to other countries?
