Our 2 are in with a very boisterous red tail and when the red tail comes up to the (we think) female the male swims in between them like a barrier.Definitely my favourite fish.

I was dabbling with the idea of a red tail, but I don't want that bio load in the pond. Especially if I've got a giraffe cat slowly putting on size.
Have any pics of yours? or what you keep them in?

Check our gallery for pics,our red tail with 2 nigers are in an 8ftx3ft6x2ft tank soon to be rehoused in a 15ftx5ftx3ft with possibly our 2 giraffes.I say possibly because firstly the giraffes of ours are not the timid gentle type,and secondly when we feed the red tail and nigers the nigers can more than compete for food which I dont think the giraffes will be able to do.Within less than a minute all food has disappeared and I think giraffes will struggle.Also if giraffe tries it on with redtail I know who will come off worst.
