how long did it take to grow to that size?

also are the spots goldish yellow?

I recently baught a "spottted pleco" it looks like your pleco, with gold spots. he only 2-3'' and is really too shy to take pics

There are so many black plecos with white or golden spots. It's best to take it out and post pics of the whole body (Upper view and side view). Take pics of the mouth, pectoral fins and close up head shot.
