Haha that's actually what they are eating in the video! Did you find that the adults were particularly inclined towards soft water compared to other geos or not?

lol right on :). My feeling is that they are pretty hardy, and I know people have bred them in harder water.
 
theyre cute-cant wait to see them colored up! ive been wanting some orange heads forever-someday ill get some..

Ok cool, My water is pretty hard, I think I might have to go 50/50 RO/tap still, do you have any other recommendations as far as how to lower softness or anythig else I should know?

RO is probably your best bet, but I don't know if it's necessary for these guys. Driftwood helps to lower PH too.

Well so far I haven't seen as much sand sifting as I expected, but for the first time ever tonight they were acting like a real group, chasing eachother in circles, playfully zooming around the tank so they are progressing
