Conclusion, all aro need light.:D

Basically even a golden aro will look fantastic with long light exposure.

I leave my 3 tubes of FL on 24/7 and my newest red start to show improvement in term of colouration tone in just merely 3 days.:)

what i found was that if you keep a fully crossed xback in a bright tank the 6th level shine will fade and the back will become dark like a highback RTG

golds need to be kept in a white tank to keep the shine level high

white everything, i got told along time ago about the white tank treatment.
also hurd they are sometimes stunted in growth so small aro show lots of development at small size.

white tank as in white background? so I should change my background of my tank? or are you still referring to having white lights on for them.

for gold aros we see that are fully crossed at a small size most if not all have been kept in pure white tank conditions to improve the shine levels

Nope. A true fully crossed xb will never drop it's shine even in black tank with lights on 24/7. Those so called fully crossed kinda xb are just having their top skin lighten up thus looking fully crossed in white tank. Once in black tank and lights, their skin tone become dark and thus look as if the level of shine dropped.

He is nothing short of stunning......
