my ornate is fading its color

what size? they fade some as they age
 
Start off with the obvious: Have you checked your water perameters?
Is it being bullied by any tank mates?
Does it feed well or has it fed well?
Are there any obvious external infections or damage

Pics would be a great help!
 
i dont think guppies are a good diet for any fish, i feed all my fish, hikarii carnivore sinking pellets chopped fish(catfish,cod or pollock ) what evers cheap and i top that off with beef heart and krill. i would try to get them off live fish

guppies usually do have some sort of parasite or disease, and at 3-4'' it might be hard for them to eat the guppies
