My Ornate

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The Ornate isn't all that active. He's seems to know when it's feeding time though in the evenings and comes out to get some chow. He's never active during daylight hours ususally only coming out to play after the sun goes down and the tank lights are low, opposed to my Sen and Del who almost constantly swim around. The Ornate is 10-10.5"+. Thanks for all the comments.

Nice Ornate! Cool fish.

nice ornate!
I just had to give away a 7" wild caught ornate for free to the LFS as I could not find any buyers :(

Sorry to hear that...couldn't keep him anymore? I know soon I'll have to give up a few fish once some of mine start growing out. Deciding which ones stay or go will be tough.

You'll probably think I paid too much. I think I got her in April 2007 at around 7-8" for $60. Paid much less for the Senagal and Delhezi. It's not a very fast grower either, about 2.5-3" in 8 months.

huh..a little expensive, but it looks awesome. if you like the fish, money is trivial. :)
