my oscar got owned....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hope your fish makes it!

so sorry that happened.. poor oscar.. hope he heals up quick.. and yeah, like others were saying.. just give him time

He's also got one of the worst cases of Hole In The Head I've ever seen. 2 Oscars need a minimum 100 g tank and a huge weekly water change. If he's got that then it should heal up fine without meds. Just a suggestion for the Oscar's sake-but if I were you I'd get a liquid test tube kit and get to checking for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. I suspect they're high and you didn't realize it.

Looks bad, but It'll bounce back. salt and high temps would do the trick. Oscars, IME, they bounce back quick.

I think that's just damage. But it does look suspicious... What are the nitrates in that tank?

He had two "pin holes" from HITH on his forehead from when I first got him, it hasnt really changed since I got him (about 6 months ago) All the open wounds you see in the pictures are from getting beat up.....

When I got home from school today he was doing ALOT better, begging for food like nothing happened, I just got done doing a 40% water change. Things are looking up for this guy.

i am no expert but i would agree with the hith statement, testing would be your best bet and daily water changes until you are sure.GOOD LUCK

Yep!:D but I wasn't planning on doing it right away, only if he got worse.
