Water quality is perfect, there shouldn't be any parasites or anything, etc. I just re-scaped the tank and added more fish so I thought he was just sulking at first, but now he is completely sideways on the bottom and breathing kind of heavy. Ideas anyone?

My grandfather's sulked like this after being added to a tank for 5 days, he would occassionally go sideways just like you have observed. It is likely just sulking, but watch him closely for evidence of anything else, and if it continues for more than a few days there may be something else going on like a broken heater electrifying the water for example.

He pouts a lot but not like this. I'm probably overreacting but I'm worried about him.

Oscars tend to Pout when their tank is messed with. Nothing to worry about as long as your sure the water is perfect.
I'd have to agree.Sounds like its pouting lol. Only other thing is if you did a water change without a conditioner and there's high chlorine or chloromines fish will do that or gasp for air up top.If this is the case, you need to do something quick since it could definitely harm the fish.

Oscars tend to pout and sulk when things are changed, if you water is fine then he should be okay soon. Is he washed out/faded?

I know this isnt technically the right thread for this, but i dont want to start another for it.

But, Why would anyone want to keep an animal that pouts and whines like a 6 year old child at toys r us ?
I mean occasionally ill have a fish put up a small fight and not eat but doing it for days on end and continually? Id actually go make an off spring if i wanted to deal with that and not some animal im supposed to enjoy.

Also, i did have a fish that pulled this crap, it was a female Green terror. And i got rid of it and will never have another because of it.

I have an oscar Wally and he never pouts which is great. He's always on the move but oscars are amazing fish. I just love them, they have personality. Just my opinion.
