I know this isnt technically the right thread for this, but i dont want to start another for it.

But, Why would anyone want to keep an animal that pouts and whines like a 6 year old child at toys r us ?
I mean occasionally ill have a fish put up a small fight and not eat but doing it for days on end and continually? Id actually go make an off spring if i wanted to deal with that and not some animal im supposed to enjoy.

Also, i did have a fish that pulled this crap, it was a female Green terror. And i got rid of it and will never have another because of it.
To each his/her own, some people actually enjoy this type of reaction, not me though.

Is it eating or is there a change in its eating habits? my GT over the last few days stopped eating and I thought nothing of it cause he does this every now and then. Went for a water change and discovered him dead last night. Don't let this happen to you.

The breathing hard worries me. It might be that he's really stressed, especially with the addition of more fish. Can you tell us what fish you added and how big the tank is? If he continues to breathe hard I'd consider adding a bubble wand or airstone just to help out.

It's a ninety gallon and all the fish are fish I have had for months already. There already is an air stone and a good current.

This would also raise concern for me as well. My Oscar would pout and sulk sometimes but never breathe heavy unless there was a problem, or it could be too much on him at one time to move his home around and give him room mates.

The oscars are crazy!, i found mine on the surface upsidedown one night after work! i thought he was death so i touch him and he splash all over the place and went back down like nothing happened, the day after he was fine, now every once in a wile i'll find up there sleeping!!!!

You seem like you are not very knowledgeable. Something is wrong with you oscar. I have seen oscars do weird things but fish will not go upside down unless something is wrong. ( for the most part)
