Vent check would definately prove m v. f...here is a pic of another JD I have that I thought was female.....kind of looks like yours....mine is 100% vent checked male....

I will try, what exactly am I looking for. The shape of it gives it away?? My cameras pretty ****ty and the fish moves a mile a minute up and down the front of the tank when he/she sees me.

One of my oscars was black and white at two inches. Now he's black, white and brown at eight inches. Maybe wild?
