My oscar

well actually i think hes doing fine now i had a rummynose just as like a dither kinda pointless fish and when i woke up this morning the tetra had its head bitten of and was really bloody so the oscar ate it and is doing well,.

my oscar is about 1.5 in very small and colorful
He also ate the worm i gave him last night too.
 
Os will go through periods like that. My albino used to play dead every time I did a water change. It would lay on its side at the bottom of the tank. Did that for about 6 months. Now he bites my arm a couple of times every water change. My red O is almost is a year and half old and she (I think its a she not sure) will go through periods where she won't eat or she'll sit and sulk at the bottom corner of the tank for a couple of day's. Thats what makes Os such great fish they all have different personalitys and can be extremly moody.
 
okay cool well mine is doing a lot better a just tested him and through in a 1-2in goldfish and he actually killed it then ate it so he is healthy just going through one of those periods ase u mentionsed

That's what make Os so great to keep as pets. They are the closest thing you can have to a dog while still keeping fish. No matter how many monster tanks I set up there's always a tank set aside for my Os.

Keep hand feeding him too...you'll notice that he'll actually play with you as well. My albino will rub all over my arm when I'm doing water changes...sometimes he gives little love bites too, but he never hurts. When he sees me come into the room with food, he sits at the top of the tank with his mouth open waiting for me to drop food in...then he usually soaks me with a tidal wave of water. :grinno:
 
okay yeah and i have been hand feeding him really little earth worms alot just to get him used to me fast!!!!!!!! i have feed him ten little worms since i baught him which was yesterday at like 1200
