Hello everyone. I just wanted to post a couple of pictures of my Oscars. I do believe that they are coming along nicely. They are around 8 months old and I "measured" them at around 9 inches or so. Kind of difficult to do since they don't stay still and want to follow me when I come near the tank. I believe that I have 1 Tiger Oscar and 1 Lutino Oscar.
Anyway, they are in a 150 gallon tank along with 3 Firemouths, 1 African Featherfin Catfish, 1 Green Sunfish, 1 Sunfish (Not sure what kind, but it will be taken out shortly).
Just thought I would share my pictures.

Nice! Oscars were the first big cichlids i tried. My favorite is the Albino Tiger for sure.

I made a huge mistake when i had them when i was a teenager and had 2 of them stuffed in a 60 gallon tank and mostly fed them Live Feeders. You live and learn right?

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments. Yeah, Oscars were my first foray into big fish when I was younger. About thirty (wow, time flys!) years ago. I had two of them in a thirty gallon. I didn't know any better and my mom really had no clue. I really feel bad about that now, but it truly was live and learn when there was no internet and the pet store guy just wanted to sell fish.
I love Oscars and really want this pair to be successful. I think I'm going to add a JD pair in the tank.

yup, tiger and lutino, nice looking pair and on the norm for growth. Thank for posting love seeing good healthy Oscars. :)

Great looking fish jhook. Oscars are in my opinion one of the most enjoyable fish you can own. I love JD and FM as well.

Always good to get a thumbs up on the growth rate from a really experienced member. That makes me feel good about how they are being treated.
