i think you should put some carbon in there to absorb the chloramines.

Carbon do very good job of remove some harmful chemical in water. The water from this new pond were from my old pond and also came from the rain of the past few weeks. Chloramines is not a big deal at this time. Beside, right now I am not adding fish until spring comes. This way the fish will adjust to the cold water better when the next winter comes. Thanks for advice.

I love your pond. I wish I could use tropical plants around my pond I'm making, but th plants would die from the frost in the winter here.
