My outdoor pond plan. Will it work?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its the local fish and game... Your allowed to KEEP them as far as I know but TRANSPORTING isnt allowed... I mean if you catch a crayfish and want to use it as bait you are ONLY allowed to use it from the pond, river, lake you caught it in... Yeah idn... They are silly laws lol. As far as the freezing goes with my buddys pond... We can skate on it in the winter so im positive it freezes THICK lol.

I mean as far as laws on keeping native species goes, if it's not endangered, and it isnt invasive I don't see why it is such an environmental crime to raise in captivity a captive bread specimen in the privacy ones home, it is not harming anyone, an only promotes proper domestic husbandry and the aquarium hobby in general and I'm all for it, it's not like your killing an ecosystem

My LMB killed everything in my pond including 2 channel cats a huge koi a rainbow trout a brown bullhead and a redfin pickeral

Dang sorry to hear that man. Yea but you never know what can happen when you throw one overly aggressive fish in , it can ruin the whole pond . It sucks . Eventually when I have a pond it's going to be nothing but retail and other catfish, they eat a ton but are ok with their own kind

OP it seems like the other posters have already answered sufficiently about it being too small, but boy would I like to see some good pics of a striped bass in a backyard pond :)
