He is one of the nice ones around...He has changed from a bright red color to almost pure black and now the awsome gold color......

Great looking fish, I plan to get some "small type pacus" (silver dollars) later the red hooks and black bars get to about one foot only but will go with my other fish a little better.

One person mentioned your bioload is high, is that true to some extent?, What length is he, and height, and what size aquarium do you have him in? Not only is the fish healthy looking but the pics except one are clear.

Thanks-It's no the case-Water params are tested twice weekly-

My pacu is roughly 22 to 24 inches now and is housed in a 500 gal-6 foot by 4 foot by 3 foot tank.....
