You might lose a few tankmates depending on your tank size. Convicts become increasingly vicious when the eggs are laid, then when the eggs hatch, and even more when the fry leave the nest. If you have no tankmates, sometimes the male won't be allowed near the fry.
The pair are in my 55 gallon right now (in sig) and the only aggression ive seen so far is the male just chasing other fish away, it doesn't seem to get any worse than that.

Now i just need something to do with the fry
