Gorgeous!! I had a pair just like them, except mine had more yellows on them than reds!! Very very impressive! Definately one of the best lookin lugubris pikes!! ;) Congrats on an AWESOME pair!! ;)
 
Very nice fish. The colors are very pretty. I have a pair right now at about 8" and also have alot more yellow in them. That red coloring is buetiful!!

NICE!!! Thanks for the up-dated pix - - - Are they a bonded pair? Also wondering what size they are..... Really great orange/red coloration, do they always have the faint black vertical bars? Do you know their specific origin? Thanks..........

Not all pikes have pointed dorsal/anal fins, which I like better - makes them look more elegantly streamlined.
 
TRUE brazilian strigata are wicked looking! Love their coloration. I've noticed that almost all species of cichlids look better if they came from Brazil for some reason...haha
