iv been trying to get mine to breed for the past 2 month. Im not in a real rush though. I heard doing a 5% water change everyother day help, because it rezembles the rainy season, thats when pbass breed.also put a couple slates or pots in there to help them out, thats what i did, and gettin a lil aggresive. keep us updates!!!

I dunno if its easy, ive never done it before lol, i do know 5 people in aus that have been successful with monos a number of times, but none of us can get the tems to spawn. Do know a couple guys with pairs but nothing has happened as of yet :(

oh ya thats 20gallon for 5% WC

not sure on the WC thing will have to try different things, i do have a dish in the tank but all the fish like to fight over it lol even the RTC likes to claim it at times. On average i do like nearly 2 gallons as a daily top up depending on weather here, and i usually do like a 50% wc every weekend aswell, wondering about lighting and tank mates aswell tho

Well as for lighting, I heard and read that they breed and shollow beds. So I was think putting the light more towards the opposite side of the tank of the dishes also try and put some other dishes like up a lil higher so the parents feel safer because its elevated. Also feed foods like bloodworms even drop in a pinch of brineshrimp, so the parents know that there is food for the fry. Also its easier to breed cichlids when the temp.is warm, like 86-89. If u look at monsrerpeacocks breeding Diaries is temperature levels are pretty high. Oh ya also look at is breeding Diaries they can help a lot too. Good luck post more pics too:D.
