Well as for lighting, I heard and read that they breed and shollow beds. So I was think putting the light more towards the opposite side of the tank of the dishes also try and put some other dishes like up a lil higher so the parents feel safer because its elevated. Also feed foods like bloodworms even drop in a pinch of brineshrimp, so the parents know that there is food for the fry. Also its easier to breed cichlids when the temp.is warm, like 86-89. If u look at monsrerpeacocks breeding Diaries is temperature levels are pretty high. Oh ya also look at is breeding Diaries they can help a lot too. Good luck post more pics too:D.

yeah my lighting is only a twin 4ft so the sides of the tank are a shadow, guna go out today and see wot i can come up with for a better dish aswell. Temp wise im up at about 30 Celsius which is 86 :) and on hot days here it rises a degree or 2, ill get in and have more of an update read on monsterpeacocks thread

ok so after thinking long and hard... i thought **** it im switching tanks!!! so now the pair is in the 5x2x2 by themselves and the growouts are into the big tank (hopefully rtc doesnt say yum yum hahaha)
