The 55gal got a new pump for the stream and a major hack. It was so over grown and some of the really quick growers like the fern, were taking over the slow growers I am really after. I have only finished above water work and will do below water work sometime soon.

The atomizer is working a treat now.

Before the growth become too much. You can see some browned/browning leaves, a few weeds popping up and the fern about to explode.

This was while the tank had no pump so a few of the species slowed down as there was less water and others took off. Balance has since hopefully been restored.

After the weed eater took care of business. It looks a bit like a hack job but it will grow back and fill in again before you know it.

I would even say Indian mudskippers if the tank was slightly brackish
Right now the only thing living terrestrially in this tank is a small colony of damn ants. They are hard to get rid of as I can't use poison to nuke them. Have to use slow acting, carefully placed poisons to slowly eradicate them.

I really love Taiwan if you take the time to bargain hunt.
Spent time online looking for more crytocoryne and found a guy selling some cheaply. Found these 4 pots for a total ofUS$2.50. With shipping included it came to US$5.20. Living on a small island has it perks.

They have been adjusting to my water and regrowing for about a month now.

Also this is how the vase tank started in 2020 as a holding tank while a rearranged tanks in the fishroom

A short while back I played with the mister and finally got it working nicely. I can also only use it when the fans are off as they blow all the fog out.

A video showing the fogger again as well as the new pump which gives a better output for the tributary stream.

Some quick pics of different angles in the tank. Just to give a different perspective. I will one day get around to sorting that outlet pipe out and make it neater or even hide it. But ain't no one got time for that right now.
Looking into where the tributary flows into the main tank on the left side.

Left side of the tank. The anubius in the pic above is the bottom anubius in this pic.

Left center of tank. The anubius clump on the left is the one you can just see peeking in the right hand side of the pic above.

looking past the stump just to the right of the tank where the tributary makes a small pool with some frogbit growing in it. I used green scouring pads, folded double and superglued together to raise the tributary wall as the increased flow meant increased stream height which led to a lot of overspill.

That eye sore of a pipe will meet its end one day.

The waterfall section which hides the mister/fogger. Some rocks were superglued here to stop leaks from the tributary.

Looking down through the top of the tank to the right hand side with the waterfall in the back corner.

Left of the stump through the top of the tank. Gives a slightly better idea of layout. The tributary runs behind the stump and down around to the left. You can just make it out in the fork of the stump. That is the anubius from pic #3.

Looking into the left back corner of the tank. At the bottom of the pic is the anubius in pic #2.

Looking directly into the mouth of the tributary.
