WTF HOLY DERAIL BRO.... Your one weird cat.. :screwy:

I'd take the eggs out if I were you and put them into their own hatch tank. I use a 20gal to hatch all my cichla eggs. I just woke up this morning to hundreds of wigglers myself, PU Mono fry just hatched this morning for me. Cograts on your spawn bro.

I would take them out because I think it would be easier to raise them that way however I dont think hes gona let me haha! Ive tried a couple times now and he just attacks and knocks the tongs I use to reach the slate out of my hand! Hes protective as all hell!

It's normal for the parents to protect their fry like this. I just reach in and grab the rocks, driftwood etc with the eggs on it, The male will normally whack me a few times but it doesn't hurt. Remember their bass not piranha...lol You could also use a large net with one hand to keep him away from your other as you grab up the eggs. You can also just siphon the eggs off the surfaces, I do this for eggs that have been laid on the bare bottom glass. I siphon them into a fry net and place that into the hatch tank. ;)
