Ya Aros and Geos are very popular in the fish hobby. When you do get your asian aro remember to post pics:)

Great video. Great fish. Great tank!!

Thanks!

Do you still have the tank up and running in your garage? I'm curious to hear if the 900 watts of heaters is enough to keep your tank at tropical temps. How cold does it get where you live?

Thanks.

Yes it's still running in the garage. I upgraded my heaters. Running 1600 watts (2 x 500 watts and 2 x 300 watts) of heaters now. Yes it gets cold during winter at night. Gets around 0 degrees Calcius. My tank never surpasses 76-78 degrees F even with the heaters cranked at 85-90. My energy bill doubled in cost during the winter...This summer will be a new project for me in renovating my garage and try to make it warmer in there for next winter.

Thank you for sharing! I definitely enjoyed it :D

The arowana, rays, and red severums are my favorites from your set up! One of the best! :clap

Thanks. I changed up the look of my tank. I switched the background to a black color and removed the smaller piece of driftwood and centered the large piece to give more room for the fish to swim around. Will post up a video of the new look later.

That is nuts! Zero degrees celsius? I'm shocked your heaters could even keep the tank at 76! You must have cheap electricity because that would have cost me close to $400 in electricity alone. I have a 770G tank that I'm heating with 1800 watts of heaters. It gotten down to 55F (13C) in the room that the tank is in, but since the room is small and well insulated, the room temp stays at 65F (18C). I use about 10KWHrs per day to keep the tank at 78. This will cost me around $100 per month. Keeping tropical fish in cold climates is expensive!

My energy bill is about there. between 360-400 now..Warmer seasons is usually only 130. I think we pay around 8-10 cents per kw. Something around there.
