My Peacock Bass Collection

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As long as you keep water conditions pristine and feed well expect at least 1 to 2 inches a month.

I have a kelberi that grew a solid 2.5 inches in exactly 2 months.

A 4 incher today could be an 18 inch monster by fall 2012.

Nice collection! I have 2 pbass in a 240g... What type of filtration are you using, and how often do you do your water change.

Oh man, those guys look so good Ash! That orino looks incredible and the pinima are looking better.
Does anybody recognise those big monos? :naughty:

I have been waiting for it Tim but no they seem not to, im sure Hulon would if he were to visit.

Can i assume Pinima are usually aggressive then?

He is pretty much outnumbered and outsized but can easily dominate 50% of the tank if he loses his temper, the larger Pinima is actually great and also falls victim to the aggression.

It is the one who is blind in one eye, i did wonder if this maybe was the reason but i had never heard of them being aggressive.

As for water changes, well its any ones guess, i'm trying to feed less often and change just once per week at the moment at 75%, life is pretty busy at the moment so if i can avoid twice or even three times a week i would be happy, if its what is required then so be it, my main issue now is mechanical filtration, i can handle the biological load, canisters just cannot cope with the POOOOOP, i think a large sump with a 10x turnover is going to be needed to handle these big boys who im sure you can guess now originate from a very local MFK'er ;). . . even the Orino

Thats so sick bro. Very nice fish . How many do you have and what size tank and set up with filter and light?

Good stuff sir.I like the pinima with those eye spots on their sides....Damn I miss mine.

Freaking awesome, I love your pbs collection, damn it make me sleepless night again after watching them
