im almost 100% certain the gar in your pic is not an alligator gar. the pic is not real good but it looks like a normal florida. you should check out the gar forum here, its greatness

yea, im not real sure why they are so mistaken. i understand the florida and spotted and possibly the longnose at a young age be mis i.d.-ed but the gators are totally different. oh well
