My piranhas arent growing D:

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Mine don't seem to look like they are growing too.. but everybody else who comes to see them every now and than says they grown so much. As somebody who doesn't see them everyday. You'll be surprise! good luck

I'd be real suprised if your Piranha were stunted by excessive nitra. RBP's can live in some pretty brutal conditions during the dry season in thier natural enviorment. I'd suspect if they were living in poor water conditions they'd have fallen victim to bacteria long before deformity. Perseved slow growth can be as simple as genetics, not all RBP's grow at the same rate or reach the same adult sizes. The increase in tank size will help, overfiltering , clean water thru weekly water changes of 20-50%, added oxygen thru a powerhead, and increased water circulation can all add in faster healthier growth rates.

It sounds like they have it made lol. And I was worrying about the same thing with my fish, cuz I bought them from my store and they were in 15gallon tanks and now I have them in a 46g and they look the same size as the day I brought them home, but sure enough they grew. I would recommened a ruler or something, you'd be suprised.
'
how many and how long you had them? Sounds like you have babies
