So I decided to change my stock a bit last week. I love predatory fish, that eat a lot. So I got 8 red belly piranhas and put them in my planted 60 gallon. They are about an inch and half now. They have grown half and inch since I got them a week ago. Now, I also have a 8 inch silver arowana in this 60 gal growout. I got him before I knew I was getting my RPBs. When I was feeding my RPBs this morning, and everyone was eating merrily in their little school, my arowana swopped down and ate two of my RPBs! I immediately caught him and moved him to my main 1300 litre tank, its 6 ft by 3 ft aquarium with my red belly pacu, oscar and pollini + various other cichlids and smaller fish. Question now is, when my RPBS grow to about 4 inches? Will the school be safe with my arowana in my main tank? Should I get more RPB now for a bigger school? or is 6 fine you think.. Please pros and cons.
