I have seen that there are many species of piranha that have the red belly. When I bought my shoal of 4 from the LPS it just said Red Breasted Piranha's, can anyone help me out and tell me what the proper name of my species is by looking at the picture I have attached of my biggest or do I have to wait until ithey mature a bit?

I would also like to ask if I should be concerned if two of them are growing faster than the other two..

look like lil red breasted piranha to me, and i wouldnt worry too much as long as you have some hiding spaces for them

What is their proper name though like I know there is a few spieces that have red brestd. I saw it on the LPiranha Adult Identification" tread.

pygocentrus nattereri
the color depends on water quality, diet, genetic, substrate, background, etc.
how big are they now? what's the tank size, filtration, water change schedule, diet like?
some will grow faster than others, some may get bigger as well. just like human, some are taller, bigger ,some are shorter, smaller, etc.

+1 pygo can be all different colors depending on water and diet. i had 4 that were totally light silver and ive seen some that are almost black

The biggest is about 2.5" and the smallest 1.25". I feed them either brine shrimp or bloodworms once a day, and 5 comets every 2-3 days. Currently they are in a 37 gallon, but I am investing in a 125 gal in the coming few months. I have an 80 gal filter in there pumping at about 300gph. I do a 15-20% weekly water change every friday.

at that size the red hasn't developed yet. I would feed them at least 2-3 times daily and you can slowly move them off blood worms and brine shrimp and on to shrimp and fish fillet, etc. if you feed them live then be sure to quarantine them first to ensure disease and parasite free. theres a thread you should read on nutrition http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=306686
what filter will you be using for the 125g?
