Vampire tetra or Sabre tooth tetra.......both common names used to describe fishes from the genus Hydrolicus,in their native Peru they are known as payara!

That payara would be on the menu if it's as small as it looks for sure. Post up some more pics! Not many of us out there keeping these at the moment. I really need to update with some pics of mine, it's pushing 18"

I moved the firewood into a bigger tank w/ my 10in Dorado, 9in Vulture Cat and pair of Lugbris Red pikes. He is super active at night.
