Never seen a sword melt, not even in my 75G when it's on steroids, lol. When full lighting, I'm running 520W CF, and the swords just get bigger and bigger, lol. They only seem to have problems if I don't put enough root tabs around the swords root system. And with that much lighting, my ozelot kept sending several shoots out of the tank, which flowered, and then I got more swords when I placed the shoots back into the tank.

The key, root tabs and lots of CO2.
In comparison, you have 520W of CF lighting. He has 600W of MH lighting. MH produces so much more lumens per watt (lux).

I see people keeping snails with plants any certain reasons? Wyld you probably have an answer.

Here are some pictures with all 4 lights on I love the color this much light brings to the tank.

MTS work very well for planted tanks. I keep thousands of them in all my tanks planted or not.

My timers are setup now. Here is the schedule:

Light one far Left- 6:30-8:30
Light 2- 8:30-3:15
Light 3- 11:00-5:30
Light 4- 5:30-8:00

This give mes 300 watts for 4 hours and 150 the rest of the time. So far I like this setup and the fish seem to respond to it really well. Built my CO2 reactor it is a total of 45" long out of 2" PVC. Got the sand removed so I can put in my substrate once it gets here, was to be here today :(. More pics to come also ordered my regulator from Rex Griggs and got my CO2/ PH meter and CO2 tank today.

I like the idea of a single large sword highlighting the driftwood and then some taller bushier plants in the back corners, like Alternanthera reinecki "Red"
or Heteranthera zosteraefolia and then some pygmy chain swords in the front corners. Nice pbass by the way
