Echinodorus
have aquatic morphs most large scale growers grow them in their non-aquatic form (easy, fast growth)

the non-aquatic leaves will die back making room for the aquatic leaves when they die back alot of people take them out thinking they died :screwy:

LOL... where did you hear that? Echinodorus are true aquatic, but like many aquatic plants they may grow in shallow water with their leaves above water, but they grow equally well underwater indefinetly, for years and years.

I heard that most people that grow aquarium plants grow them with only their roots submerged to keep the leaves green and algae free and all that. Since they can live fine without being fully submerged, they aren't "true" aquarium plants, i guess it could be argued, but I don't feel like it.
I didn't say they won't grow underwater <- if they didn't I wouldn't have any ;)

That’s good because I don’t think there are any "true aquarium" plants

If you look up emersed growth you will find many popular aquarium species that will do the same it’s actually necessary for sexual reproduction flowers don’t work well under water
